Christian bookstores
Christian bookshops in some countries in East and South Africa
There are fourteen Bible Centres: six in North-eastern Congo, two in Uganda, two in Rwanda, one in Kenya, and one in South Africa.
There are rooms in each Bible Centre for local assembly meetings, for regular meetings with participants of the Bible courses, and for personal talks. The responsible brothers—primarily two—have a lot of work to do.
Nine Bible Centres in North-eastern Congo
Brother Kiitsa Thomas from Goma held sessions in the Bible Centre at Mputu for one week for those maintaining these Centres. The sessions covered the best way to make use of the Centres, both inside and outside, for example distribution of literature (tracts, brochures) on the street, market places etc.
The workers in the nine Bible Centres followed the introductions with great attention. After each introduction there was the opportunity for an exchange of experiences. Those present understood that it is important to have fixed opening and closing hours. During closing hours visits can be made, tracts are able to be distributed in markets and in shopping centres, and the location of the Bible Centre can be made known.
Those who work in these nine places showed much interest in the presentations. They had conversations regarding their experiences and an exchange of thoughts after the introduction of each topic. Brother Thomas has summarized in a booklet the series of sessions, along with the discussions after each introduction, and this booklet is very much appreciated.
